My Personal Growth Over The Last 12 Years

During this pandemic shutdown, I have had a lot of time to think. Time to think about where I have been and where I am going. Notice I said where I am going and not where I want to go. This type of wordplay has been extremely important in my personal growth. For your words speak volumes and carry a lot of power over you. You become what you speak, so I speak in affirmation. In my mind it is already done. It was not this way 12 years ago. It was a bunch of I will try, some I think I can sprinkled with a whole bunch of maybe. This type of talk didn’t get me anywhere. So something different had to be done in order for to get to where I wanted to go. Something had to change. And that something was me. I had to work on me before any success would come in my life. Thus my journey of personal growth began.

The first step in personal growth is realizing that I needed to grow and why its important. It’s important that I saw the possibility of the great things that I could accomplish. It made me realize that my life could be whatever I wanted it to be but it comes with a price. I must be willing to pay it or don’t complain about it. Personal growth would help me deal with the setbacks and obstacles in my life, of which there would be(and still are)plenty. I realized I could either stay down and give up or use these events as fuel and motivation to continue on my journey. A lost real estate deal or a client who wronged me should never stop me from moving forward. I had to realize that I had to be better. Now this was not easy because I had to do…
